Advancements in artificial intelligence are leading to the development of AI companions for emotional support. Technologies, such as AI wearables and apps, focus on creating relationships through ongoing interactions. While companions provide emotional engagement, AI agents are tasked with completing specific actions and goals.
Major US banks, including Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase, are blocking third-party AI agents from transactions. This decision comes after concerns that AI agents might act independently without customer instructions. Both Morgan Stanley and Charles Schwab have reported blocking unauthorized agent access to their platforms. Banking executives are increasingly worried about the risks associated with AI technology in financial transactions.

In an exclusive interview with The Economic Times Digital, Andrew Ng argues that the immediate challenge is to prepare people for work that increasingly involves AI. He emphasized that these facilities should generate their own electricity and sell excess power. Trump's observations indicate that financial agreements can change the public's perception of data centres. He encourages negotiations to accelerate construction and foster public acceptance of such projects. The proposal aims to address concerns about rising electricity prices in local areas.
Major technology companies are projected to invest more than USD 1 trillion in artificial intelligence infrastructure by 2027. Reports indicate that demand for computing capacity is exceeding supply, influencing investment decisions.

The company’s new security tools give every AI agent a risk score that keeps updating, and they cut back the agent’s access when that score rises. Microsoft says agents can make mistakes, be manipulated or be compromised, like any other insider.
OpenAI has enhanced its models to work with legacy programming languages like COBOL and Fortran. The AI assists companies in modernising critical software systems, which often lack documentation. Recent tests showed significant improvements in accuracy for building and translating software across multiple languages.
